1. Purpose
To establish the identity of every investor, understand the nature and intended purpose of the business relationship, and detect activity that may indicate financial crime.
2. Investor Verification Requirements
All investors must complete identity verification before funding an Account. Additional verification may be required as account activity evolves.
3. Identity Verification
Government-issued photo identification (passport, national ID, or driver's licence) verified against the investor in real time.
4. Proof of Address
A recent utility bill, bank statement, or government correspondence dated within the last three months.
5. Source of Funds
Investors may be asked to confirm and evidence the source of funds, particularly for larger transactions.
6. Ongoing Monitoring
Account activity is monitored on an ongoing basis. Investors may be screened periodically against sanctions, PEP, and adverse-media lists.
7. Suspicious Activity Reporting
WealthSpring is required to report suspicious activity to the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) or other competent authority. Investors will not be notified where doing so would be unlawful.
8. Compliance Obligations
WealthSpring complies with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) and equivalent international standards applicable to the markets we operate in.
9. Record Keeping
Identification records, transaction records, and supporting documentation are retained for at least five years from the end of the business relationship or the date of the transaction, as applicable.
